JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 33-year-old man was shot and killed Wednesday night in the Lake Sanctuary neighborhood of Jacksonville Beach, police said.
Officers were called just after 8 p.m. to a report of a person being shot in the area of Jacksonville Drive and Sanctuary Way North.
The man died at the scene.
Police asked for anyone who “saw anything suspicious involving an unknown make/model black in color SUV on Feb. 16, between the hours of 7:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m., on 15th Street South, Fairway Lane, or America Avenue in Jacksonville Beach to call the Jacksonville Beach Police Department at 904-270-1661.”
Police said they will provide more information as it becomes available.
