Scene on Perry Street.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was taken into custody Friday night, accused of shooting a relative in a home in the Brentwood neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s office.

At 8:10 p.m., Moore said, police were dispatched to an address on Gator Bowl Boulevard in reference to the suspected shooter — a 33-year-old man — wanting to turn themselves in to authorities. He was arrested.

“Our initial investigation has revealed that the two individuals are related and became involved in an argument within the residence,” Moore said. “At some point, the argument turned physical.”

The man who was shot was said to be in critical condition.
