A man died and a woman was injured after a crash Monday morning in St. Johns County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened about 7:15 a.m. on U.S. Highway 1 near State Road 206.

According to FHP, a sport utility vehicle was traveling north on U.S. Highway 1, stopped in the left turn lane and then made a left turn onto State Road 206. That’s when, troopers said, the SUV collided with a motorcycle heading south in the outside lane of U.S. Highway 1.
The motorcyclist, a 39-year-old Palm Coast man, was taken to an area hospital, where he died, troopers said.
The Highway Patrol said the SUV driver, a 26-year-old St. Augustine woman, suffered minor injuries.
