Longtime St. Johns County School Board member plans to step down

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – St. Johns County School Board member Bill Mignon told News4JAX on Thursday he plans to step down from his position at the end of his term later this year.

Mignon, who has represented District 3 in the southern part of the county for 16 years, said it’s time to retire and give someone else a shot.

Mignon, 84, said he is throwing his support behind Lauren Abell who is running along with three other candidates to replace him. Manila Clough, William Kelman and Doug Russo are also running.
