A man died after his motorcycle collided with another motorcycle on Wednesday night in Putnam County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
It happened shortly after 6 p.m. on U.S. Highway 17 north of Palmetto Bluff Road.

Troopers said three motorcyclists -- including a 66-year-old man from Clarkston, Michigan, and a 32-year-old woman from Waterford, Michigan -- were traveling north in the outside lane when a vehicle exited a parking lot and entered the lane.
The Highway Patrol said the 66-year-old motorcyclist was unable to slow down and struck the back of the 32-year-old’s motorcycle. Both were thrown from their motorcycles, troopers said.
The Highway Patrol said the 66-year-old was taken to Orange Park Medical Center in critical condition and later died.
According to an FHP news release, he was not wearing a helmet.
Troopers said the 32-year-old was not injured.
