JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Hakeem Robinson, a Jacksonville rapper who’s also known as Ksoo, has been indicted on a charge of first-degree murder, according to a news release Thursday from the Office of the State Attorney Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
Robinson was indicted on two counts of first-degree murder in two different cases. He’s charged in the shooting deaths of 16-year-old Adrian Gainer in 2019, and 23-year-old rapper Charles McCormick Jr. in 2020.

Also indicted in the McCormick murder were Robinson’s brother, Abdul Robinson Jr. and Leroy Whitaker.
Robinson is known for his controversial music videos that feature lyrics about the murders. His attorneys have said the lyrics do not prove he is guilty.

Recently, a judge denied a request by defense attorneys representing Robinson, who wanted the state prosecutor removed from the case.
The indictments were among five total that were handed down by a grand jury Thursday.
Two of the indictments involved two unrelated cases. Alberto Rosario Jr. was charged in two drug overdose deaths. Rashaurd Lewis was charged in two deadly shootings a month apart in December 2019 and January 2020.
