JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A massive car club meet-up near Baymeadows Road and Southside Boulevard on Saturday night stalled traffic as cars were seen doing burnouts and donuts on the road.
A woman, who wants to remain anonymous said the street takeovers happen nearly every weekend. She said she has reported the meet-ups to the police.
Another video of the chaos in a nearby shopping center sent to News4JAX was recorded by Instagram user @sherifi_shoots and posted on their account.
“I’ve called the non-emergency and I’ve called 911 several times. “I’m just praying that someone doesn’t get killed,” the anonymous woman said.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office’s calls for service, several noise and reckless driving complaints were reported Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
For the past several months, the News4Jax I-Team has reported instances of noise complaints and damaged parking lots during the street takeovers.

“It’s very frustrating because that could be me or my son out there on the road and could be injured,” said the neighbor.
