JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was hit and killed while crossing Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway south of E 8th Street Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The report said a 55-year-old man was crossing the roadway at 8:50 p.m. when he was hit by a car.

The man died at the scene from his injuries.
Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
