PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – A woman was arrested and charged after Palatka Police Department officers found cocaine and a handgun in her vehicle during a routine traffic stop Tuesday night.
Lajohndria Rollins, 27, was riding near Bronson Street and North 20th Place without headlights, prompting K-9 Officer Blaine Snyder to conduct a traffic stop, the report stated.

Officials said after smelling alcohol on her breath, Snyder called for backup to conduct a sobriety test. Officer Snyder walked his K-9 narcotic detection dog, Tito, around the vehicle while Rollins performed the sobriety test, according to the report.
The report said the officers determined Rollins wasn’t under the influence, but Tito detected a narcotic odor coming from the vehicle. Rollins refused to unlock the car doors when asked multiple times.
Rollins was then arrested for resisting an officer without violence. When the officers searched the vehicle they discovered a 9mm handgun, over $2,000 in cash, a digital weighing scale, and 31 grams of cocaine.
According to the report, Rollins, who is a convicted felony, was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of a firearm while the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, and resisting without violence.
