Pursuit near St. Augustine outlet ends in cruiser crash

Suspects inside car are believed to have shoplifted at the Nike Factory Store

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said they’re looking for a suspect, who may be armed, after a pursuit near the St. Augustine Premium Outlets ended Tuesday afternoon with a cruiser being rammed.

The Sheriff’s Office reports the theft happened at the Nike Factory Store, and that four people stole items worth over $1,000. They reportedly drove recklessly through the parking lot, ramming a deputy’s vehicle during a traffic stop. Three were captured, one suspect got away.

Property Crimes Detectives are responding as the subjects are suspects in a similar incident in Volusia County and possibly multiple jurisdictions.

The deputy inside the cruiser that was rammed is okay.
