On Friday afternoon, officers got a call from the Stop N Go on Lake Jeffrey Road reporting gun fire. One victim suffering from a gunshot wound was transported to a local hospital by private vehicle and treated for their injuries.

While officers were looking at surveillance video from the store, the suspect’s vehicle was located by an officer, but the driver failed to stop. During the chase, officers said they saw the passenger toss a firearm from the vehicle which was located and collected.

The vehicle then stopped on NE Coldwater Avenue at the railroad tracks and both the passenger and driver got out and ran off. Deputies from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and a K-9 team tried to find them but couldn’t.

Then, on Saturday, Henderson, who was driving the vehicle according to police, was arrested and transported to the Columbia County Detention Center after turning himself in to officers.
