JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 45-year-old man is dead after being hit by a car while crossing Normandy Boulevard, west of Doloma Street, early Monday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue crews pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The man driving the car was not injured, FHP said.
