JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was shot and killed Friday night on Jacksonville’s Eastside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Police said the shooting happened at around 9:03 p.m. on A Philip Randolph Boulevard. Officers said when they arrived, they found a man in his early 30s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Jacksonville Fire Rescue pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Police said their initial investigation revealed a dark-colored four-door vehicle drove through that area at a high rate of speed around the time the shooting happened.
A large section of the boulevard had to shut down for several hours due to the shooting.
