JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Surveillance video captured the moments before, during, and after a triple shooting on the Westside that left one man dead and two injured on Tuesday.

Police said the shooting happened around 4 p.m. at a plaza near the intersection of San Juan Avenue and Jammes Road.

The man who died has been identified as 21-year-old Julian House.

Business owners shared surveillance camera video with News4JAX where loud gunshots can be heard.

Later on in the video, you can see one of the men who was shot appear, and he’s holding his side.

Curtis Sowell said he heard the shooting when he was across the street at a bar and liquor store. He said he didn’t worry too much about what he heard.

“Just random gunshots for all I care,” Sowell said.

While Sowell said he wasn’t afraid, Roxie Windgawsen said she was.

Windgawsen is the leasing manager for the plaza where the shooting happened. She said although she wasn’t there when everything unfolded, she was concerned for her tenants.

“I’ve been here six and a half years. Something like that just doesn’t happen in our little business bubble,” Windgawsen said.

While News4JAX was getting video Wednesday afternoon, we saw two men place a teddy bear and flowers in the plaza where the shooting happened.

“I feel a big cramp in my stomach. And I feel sorry for the parents. Sometimes I wonder, ‘Was that really necessary? Was that problem really big enough to kill someone?’” Windgawsen said.

If you have any information about this shooting, contact JSO at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
