JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – Christmas is almost one week away, which typically means there’s enough time to squeeze in some fun holiday events.
Well, in Northeast Florida, the weather seems to have other plans this weekend.

Deck The Chairs announced they will shut power off to the decorated chair displays in Jacksonville Beach due to the major rainy weather conditions expected to hit this weekend.
All weekend activities in Latham Plaza Park have been canceled.

Organizers with DTC said they are currently securing the lifeguard chair decorations and bringing unsecured props onto the Pavilion stage.
Weekend concessions have also been canceled, and Saturday Pavilion stage programming is postponed.
DTC organizers said they will spend Monday assessing the space and working to restore the display, hoping they can make the park fully operational by Tuesday night.
