ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The city of St. Augustine’s Solid Waste Division announced the opening of a new glass recycling location on the Westside.
The community can now start dropping off glass items at 30 Pellicer Lane in the gravel lot.

In addition to this new location, the city also added a glass-only recycling dumpster at the south end of the city of St. Augustine Beach City Hall parking lot at 2200 A1A South.
With these new additions, there are now five available glass recycling drop-off locations in the city.
“We’re very excited to see what these new locations produce,” said Solid Waste Manager Olivia Smith. “I also want to recognize what this program has already accomplished with the three other locations. Since its kick-off in May, we’ve successfully diverted 19 tons of glass!”
These are the five recycling locations:
- Downtown Lincolnville – 501 Riberia St.
- North City – 323 San Marco Ave
- Anastasia Island – 143 Red Cox Dr.
- Westside – 30 Pellicer Lane
- City of St. Augustine Beach – 2200 A1A South
The following glass items will be accepted:
- Packaging food
- Beverages
- Hot sauces
- Spices
- Syrups
- Baby foods
- Perfume bottles
- Cosmetic jars
- Mason jars
Officials ask participants to remove any metal or plastic lids and caps before recycling and to rinse containers.
The following glass items will not be accepted:
- Dishware
- Crystal and stemware
- Drinkware
- Figurines made of glass
- Ceramic
- Porcelain
- Automotive windows and mirrors
- Picture frames
- Tabletops
- Mirrors
- Computer monitors and screens of any type
- Magnifying glasses
- Eyewear
- Marbles
- Light bulbs
