CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – The Clay County School District’s transportation department will resume normal dirt road operations after canceling transports on Monday due to unsafe conditions after the weekend storms.
The severe weather that impacted the area caused problems for some children going to school in Clay County, but normal operations will resume on Tuesday.

The school district also reminded parents to expect delays because not all dirt roads are back to normal.
Parents told News4JAX Sunday that they received an automated call from the school district that said buses would not be able to transport any students living on dirt roads due to unsafe conditions caused by the weather. Parents are asked to either meet their bus driver at the nearest paved road or to transport their child to school.
