CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has extended the River Flood Warning for the North Fork Black Creek in Middleburg following rounds of heavy rain in the past two days, Clay County Emergency Management said on Monday morning. Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. Clay County Emergency Management said it is closely monitoring this situation and alerting affected residents.

Some roads across the county are covered in standing water.
The county said it had crews assessing the roadways Monday morning and would block off areas that are deemed impassable.
If you’re boating on Monday, the county asked that you be aware of your wake zones with the high water levels in Black Creek.
The severe weather that impacted the area this weekend also caused problems for some children going to school on Monday in Clay County.
Parents told News4JAX that they received an automated call from the school district on Sunday that said buses would not be able to transport any students living on dirt roads due to unsafe conditions caused by the weather. Parents are asked to either meet their bus driver at the nearest paved road or to transport their child to school.
The school district also reminded parents to expect delays on Monday due to the weather damage across the county.
