JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A person died due to a gunshot wound after an altercation on the 4000 block of North Main Street on Saturday evening, according to a report from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
At approximately 8:30 PM on Saturday, JSO patrol officers responded to a local hospital’s reference to a person who had been shot. The victim later died in the hospital.

Officers located a crime scene at the 4000 block of North Main Street, where they learned that there was an altercation that began inside a business and went into the parking lot where the victim was shot. Several subjects have been detained to determine their involvement with the incident.
JSO said that it believes this is an isolated incident with no danger to the community.
