GLYNN COUNTY, Fla. – A 13-year-old was arrested and charged with the murder of a 29-year-old man in Glynn County, according to the Glynn County Police Department.
GCPD said the shooting happened around 10:59 p.m. Sunday on 114 Fairman Avenue.
The man identified as De’Shon Harrison was taken to the hospital with a wound to the pelvic area, where he died from his injuries. The 13-year-old boy ran from the scene but was later found by the K-9 Unit, DCPD said.
Neighbors spoke out about the shooting incident.
“We were sitting out here and all of a sudden they come in we see one cop go by. And we’ve seen him stop down there and we thought it was something down there and then next thing I know we got cop cars, ambulances and fire trucks and they blocked off both ends of the street,” a neighbor said.
Other people said the neighborhood is usually quiet.
“It was kind of a worrisome thing, especially with like seeing all the cops around,” a neighbor said.
It’s unclear if the teen will be charged as an adult but this shooting is an ongoing investigation.
The Glynn County Police Department is asking anyone with information about this incident to contact the criminal investigations division.
