JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 47-year-old bicyclist died Thursday after they were struck by an SUV while riding in Putnam County.
According to FHP, the Satsuma woman was riding on Highway 17 near Shady Oak Drive around 6 p.m. when she was hit by the SUV being driven by a 63-year-old man.

FHP said the woman was not wearing a helmet but no other details about the crash were released.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the driver would face charges.
