Quarterback Trevor Lawrence said the loss stings.
“It just hurts. You know, you put in so much time and there is nothing to show for it. It’s just done now. It will sting for a while and it should. Hopefully, it just propels us forward,” Lawrence said.
Fans were also disappointed by how the season ended.
“Today was a bad day. I mean, it’s just a bad day they didn’t play up to the par that they should have. You know, it’s disappointing because the playoffs were sitting right there,” fan Archer Frankie said.

Dale Swain said the Jaguars gave a half-hearted effort in the game.
The sentiment of disappointment lingered Monday morning.
“It’s the same thing every season, except for one exception. Every blue moon we win, but for the most part we find some way to lose,” season ticket holder Stacey Burch said.
Kayly Transue said her father was in Nashville for the game, and she and her mom watched from Jacksonville.
“We’re still in mourning. I almost wore my Jags sweatshirt, and I was like, ‘No, too much too soon,’” Transue said.
Despite all the sadness, fans said they hope the Jags can have a better season next year.
