Jacksonville man in his 20s dead after domestic dispute sparks gunfire in Arlington

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville man in his 20s is dead after a domestic dispute led to gunfire in the Arlington neighborhood just before 5 p.m. on Monday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Officers located the man suffering from at least one gunshot wound in a parking lot on Arlington Expressway. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue arrived and said he was dead at the scene.

An investigation revealed that the man got into an altercation with a woman in her 20s in a residence. Police said she then shot and killed him.

The woman was detained for questioning. It’s unknown if she will be charged.
