JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One man was killed and another was injured during a fight late Tuesday night in the Golden Glades area off Hodges Boulevard, police said.
Officers were called to Macapa Road, which is north of Beach Boulevard, around 11:15 p.m. and found one man with non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a hospital by paramedics for treatment.
Officers then found a second man injured inside a home. He died at the scene. Police did not elaborate on what the man’s injuries were.
Investigators said one man shot the other during the fight, but they did not say which man was shot.
Police said someone tried to get help from a neighbor, who called 911.
No one else was in the home when officers arrived, but it’s unclear if the two men were alone during the fight.
Investigators are looking for witnesses or any surveillance footage of the incident and are trying to figure out how the two men knew each other.
