Officers said upon arrival, they found a man with non-life-threatening injuries, and he was taken to a hospital by paramedics for treatment.

Then, police said they found a second man injured inside a home. He died at the scene.

According to his arrest report, Cuzzort lived with both men, and he was in a relationship with the man who was injured. The other man slept in the living room.

The surviving victim said that Cuzzort and the victim had been drinking all day, and toward the evening, “things got heated between all three roommates,” according to the arrest report.

The surviving victim also said he got into an argument with Cuzzort in the living room with the victim present. He then said he blacked out and woke up on the living room floor “covered in his own blood,” the arrest report indicates.

The other man was found on the living room couch with severe physical trauma to his face, according to the arrest report.

The Medical Examiner ruled this incident as a homicide.

Cuzzort was reported missing and possibly endangered Tuesday morning, and he was later located safe.

According to his arrest report, Cuzzort turned himself in to police.

Cuzzort had his first court appearance Thursday morning, where he was ordered to be held without bond. His next court date was set for Feb. 1.
