JEA issues boil water advisory for several customers in Mandarin

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – JEA issued a precautionary Boil Water Advisory (BWA) for several customers in the Mandarin area Friday morning after a water main was broken.

According to JEA, the water main was broken by a private contractor working on Addie Lane, near San Jose Boulevard, Thursday night.

JEA officials said the advisory applies to 208 residential and 30 commercial customers.

Right now, they have a water maintenance crew working on repairs.

“There will be no waters and poor pressures affecting the 32223 zip code,” JEA wrote.

According to JEA, customers should boil water used for drinking and food preparation or use bottled water for those purposes while the boil water advisory is in effect.

JEA did not give an estimated time of when the water main will be repaired.
