TELL US: What do you think about colleges and universities closing their DEI offices?

Opponents fear Florida bill targeting DEI programs will harm cultures on college campuses

Offices of diversity, equity and inclusion are closing on college campuses after Senate Bill 266 passed last year. The bill prevents Florida’s public colleges and universities from spending any state or federal funding on DEI programs.

On Wednesday, students at UNF rallied on campus to show support for the university’s LGBTQ+ Center one of the DEI offices closing. The other units under the DEI office are the Intercultural Center, the Interfaith Center and the Women’s Center.
