JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A juvenile male is recovering after getting shot Saturday night in Jacksonville’s Springfield neighborhood.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says around 8 p.m., officers received a call about someone at the hospital for a gunshot wound.

An initial investigation found the victim was walking in the area of West 17th Street and North Laura Street when he heard gunshots and realized he was shot in the foot.
He was taken to a hospital by someone.
Officers say his injuries are non-life threatening.
