JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A teen was transported to a local hospital after a bullet fired from outside a home struck her in the foot Saturday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Police said the shooting happened at approximately 5 a.m. at a home on Cisco Drive in Northwest Jacksonville.

According to JSO, the victim and other family members were inside their home when several shots were fired from outside the residence.

According to the victim’s brother, one bullet grazed her sister in her side and the other bullet hit her in the foot.
Police said she is in stable condition and no other family members were injured.
The victim’s brother also said the family was asleep when the shooting happened.
“I got woken up to my mom screaming ‘your sister was shot, your sister was shot.’ I rushed inside because you know, that’s my sister. I came in my sister’s lying on the ground screaming,” Darren Mills said.
No arrests have been made.
Detectives are in the process of speaking with witnesses and looking for video surveillance.
