Woman injured after dispute leads to shooting in Woodstock neighborhood

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A woman was taken to a hospital after a dispute on the street led to a shooting in the front yard of a house in the Woodstock neighborhood early Saturday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JSO said people who knew each other got into a fight on Sunnybrook Avenue North. The altercation eventually spilled into the front yard of a house, where more than one person started shooting.

A woman was shot in the hand and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Police said the shooters were also aiming at the house. People were inside the home, but police did not give any details on how many people were inside and their ages.

At this time, police don’t know exactly how many people were involved in the shooting, but they confirmed there was more than one shooter as they found different shell casings.

No arrests have been made.
