Orange Park police officers, firefighters to get raises following deal with unions

ORANGE PARK, Fla. – Police and firefighters in Orange Park are getting raises after the Town Council reached a deal with the police and fire unions.

Entry-level police officers will get more than a 20% pay increase for the lowest-paid positions and nearly 11% for the highest-paid new hires. New hires in the police department will be making the same salary as new hires at the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

New hires in the fire department will have a 6.5% pay increase for all positions.
