Postal worker killed in crash that flipped vehicle on 103rd Street

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 40-year-old postal worker died Tuesday after a multiple-vehicle crash on 103rd Street.

The report from the Florida Highway Patrol said the postal worker was driving east on 103rd Street just before 4 p.m. When she attempted to make a left turn onto Lambing Avenue, a white SUV headed west in the left lane on 103rd Street hit her.

The collision flipped the postal vehicle onto its side, and it was then hit by a gray sedan that was also traveling west on 103rd Street.

The postal worker died at the scene. The 58-year-old woman driving the sedan and the 45-year-old woman driving the SUV, who were both wearing their seat belts, suffered minor injuries, the report stated.

“The Postal Service is deeply saddened by the loss of our postal family member. Our condolences and thoughts go out to her family, friends, and co-workers.  Local authorities continue to investigate the incident.”
