JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate shootings that happened early Sunday.
The first shooting happened in an Eastside neighborhood, and the second one happened on the Westside.

JSO said they were notified about those shootings about an hour apart.
The first shooting happened at around 1 a.m. on East 1st Street.
According to JSO, an officer was sitting outside the Eastside Terrace Apartments when a man in his 40s drove up to him saying he was shot. JFRD was called and took him to the hospital.
Police said the man was shot in his shoulder, and he suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
According to JSO, they were notified of a second shooting around 1:55 a.m., possibly near I-295 and Normandy Boulevard. Police said a patrol officer responded but couldn’t find the scene.
Officials said a man in his 30s drove himself to the hospital after he was shot in the hip and back. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said they don’t believe these shootings are related, and they are still working with the men injured to learn a motive for the shootings.
