JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department on Wednesday released an hour-long video showing dozens of firefighters battling a massive fire at the RISE Doro apartment complex downtown.
The $60 million apartment project is now being demolished after it was destroyed when a fire broke out last month.
The video begins when the fire starts late on a Sunday night and shows crews working until the sun comes up to put the fire out and keep the building from collapsing onto nearby businesses. In the video, JFRD features colorful radio traffic so you can hear exactly how they collaborated to attack the blaze.
