TELL US: What measures do you take to protect your personal information?

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Pharmacies across the country reported difficulties with getting prescriptions following a cyber security issue with the health insurance company UnitedHealth.

According to a report on the Securities and Exchange Commission’s website, UnitedHealth Group said on Wednesday it identified a suspected cyber security threat that gained access to some of Change Healthcare information technology systems.

The latest update from Change Healthcare, posted at around 9:54 a.m. Friday, says that it is experiencing a cyber security issue and experts are working to address it.

“At this time, we believe the issue is specific to Change Healthcare and all other systems across UnitedHealth Group are operational. The disruption is expected to last at least through the day,” the update reads.

A News4JAX viewer told us she had issues when trying to get a prescription, following this cyberattack.
