A media research company called Ampere Analysis projects 2024 will be the year streaming revenue overtakes cable TV. It’s been several years since streaming subscriptions overtook pay TV subscribers, but revenue creation from streaming is only now catching up.
The experts project that streaming services will “bring in a revenue total of $17.3 billion in quarter three of 2024, topping the projection of $16.7 billion for pay TV in the United States. The projections also claimed that the revenue value for traditional pay TV will fall to half of the 2017 value by 2028.”
