Motorcyclist killed in collision on Argyle Forrest Boulevard

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a vehicle driving on Argyle Forrest Boulevard on Wednesday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JSO said around 8:30 p.m. the motorcyclist was headed west on Argyle Forrest Boulevard as a Subaru driver was riding east on the same road.

The Subaru turned left onto Westport Road, causing the motorcycle to crash into the vehicle’s passenger side. The driver was thrown over the Subura and landed on the pavement, JSO said.

The motorcyclist died on the scene. The Subaru driver remained on the scene and cooperated with police.

JSO said there are no signs of impairment being involved in the crash.

This is the 31st traffic fatality in Duval County this year, and the 4th fatality involving a motorcyclist.

The road will remain closed for another hour so detectives can investigate.
