FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – Hundreds of thousands of motorcyclists are expected to hit the pavement starting Friday and for the following 10 days during the 2024 Daytona Beach Bike Week, and with such a big event comes an increased law enforcement presence on the roads.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind drivers to practice safe driving and “common sense,” as roads are expected to become congested with motorists and pedestrians.

According to FCSO, several DUI and reckless driving operations will be in effect throughout the event.
“We will have zero tolerance for drinking and driving and aggressive driving. Our deputies will be out actively patrolling but we ask that everyone drive safely. Be vigilant and drive free from distractions to avoid any dangerous conditions,” Sheriff Rick Staly wrote. “Remember, look twice to save a life and if you see something suspicious, say something by reporting it to FCSO.”
Deputies encourage people to report suspicious activity or aggressive driving by calling the non-emergency line 386-313-4911.
