Missing woman who prompted Silver Alert found safe, police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 69-year-old woman whose disappearance sparked a Silver Alert this week has been found safe, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday.

The woman, who suffers from confusion, had last been seen by her family at 8 a.m. Sunday and was reported missing at 6 p.m. Sunday when she didn’t come home.

The woman was driving a white car and had been spotted once in St. Johns County.

JSO thanked everyone who helped get the information out and bring her home.
