Youth activists release ‘Finish the Job’ agenda, a set of urgent policy demands aimed at President Biden

Young people from March For Our Lives, Sunrise Movement, Gen-Z for Change, and United We Dream Action gathered on Capitol Hill on Wednesday morning to release their “Finish the Job” Youth Agenda, a set of urgent policy demands for President Biden to adopt on the campaign trail and in the White House to demonstrate meaningful investment in the lives and futures of younger generations.

This announcement comes ahead of the President’s State of the Union address to the nation Thursday, and is a clear message to President Biden, and all candidates, that winning strategies must include young people’s priorities as they campaign and govern.

The agenda calls for expanding DACA and stopping construction on a border wall, a ceasefire in Gaza and the West Bank, rejecting new oil, gas and coal projects and ensuring the U.S. reaches 100% clean energy by 2035 and providing free healthcare and affordable housing to people affected by climate disasters.
