Man charged with murder in 2022 fatal stabbing on Jacksonville’s Westside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man has been arrested and accused of murder in connection with a fatal stabbing that happened in 2022 on the Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

In September 2022, police found Alan Williams, 63, injured inside a home on 103rd Street after he appeared to have been “cut by some type of unknown object.”

Williams was taken to a local hospital where he died, police said.

Early in the investigation, homicide detectives identified Husani L. Williams, 46, as a person of interest.

Detectives continued to investigate over the following months, and on Tuesday, they obtained an arrest warrant for Williams.

Williams was located and arrested on Thursday.

News4JAX asked if the two men are related, but a JSO spokesperson said it is unclear.
