KINGSLAND, Ga. – Families of two of the three missing Brunswick boaters will celebrate their lives in a special ceremony Saturday afternoon.
The three missing men — Tyler Barlow, Caleb Wilkinson and Dalton Conway — left Brunswick, Georgia on Oct. 14 for a fishing trip and were scheduled to return on Oct. 18, but they disappeared.
The families spent months searching for the young men with hopes for their return. So far, only debris from the Carol Ann boat has been found. According to the Coast Guard, their crews searched more than 94,000 square miles over the span of seven days, and then called off the search.
On Saturday, the families of Conway and Wilkinson will celebrate their lives and are inviting the community to join them in this celebration.
Back in January, Barlow’s family held a special service to celebrate his life. Barlow would’ve turned 25 years old this week.
News4JAX Reporter and Anchor Scott Johnson spoke with the family after the first piece of the boat was found, which gave the families hope.
“We’re not going to stop looking for them and we’re not going to stop believing that God can sustain them. We’re just not going to stop looking for these boys ever,” Kim Jones, mother of Tyler Barlow, said.
Saturday’s celebration of life starts at 3 p.m. and will be held at the Harbor Worship Center in Kingsland.
