This weekend marks the last chance to experience thrills at the Clay County Fair

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. – If you haven’t made your way to Green Cove Springs for the Clay County Fair, you have only one day left to get your share of fair fun before it’s gone.

Exciting food, thrilling rides and ... of course, long lines are all a part of the Clay County Fair experience.

“We’re going to end on a record-breaking fair. This weekend is going to be huge. We’re expecting blue skies, sunshine, and we welcome everyone coming here,” Tasha Hyder, fair executive director, said.

Jaida and her mom were taking part in the festivities on Friday.

“I think I’m going to have fun,” Jaida said.

“We live just down the road, and they love the fair. We always try to come once a year,” Jaida’s mother said.

Thomas Regl said his most memorable moment at the fair was riding the “Zipper.”

“I like that because I never done anything like that before and I like it,” Regl said. “Honestly riding rides I never been on and seeing friends that I haven’t seen in a while.”

Traffic and large crowds of people are expected for the closing weekend. Officials recommend arriving early and bringing sunscreen.

The last day for the fair is April 14.
