St. Johns County deputies use non-lethal weapons against man holding knife who is accused of domestic violence

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said it arrested a man Monday who is accused of domestic violence.

Officials said they were called to a home on Afton Lane in Julington Creek Plantation on Monday morning due to reports of a domestic disturbance. When deputies arrived, they were confronted by a man who was holding a knife.

Deputies said he refused commands to drop the knife and was then hit with non-lethal sponge rounds and arrested.

No deputies were hurt.
