JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Gunfire erupted between two groups of people in an Arlington neighborhood Friday afternoon, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Just before 12:30 p.m., a JSO officer heard several shots going off at a park in the Lakeside Nest Apartments on University Boulevard.

Police said multiple people got into an altercation and started shooting. It’s unclear how many people were involved in the altercation as it’s early in the investigation.
A man in his mid-20s was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Three to four people were detained, JSO said.
Police are investigating.
