JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An unusually strong solar storm hitting Earth produced magical and colorful skies across the Northern Hemisphere early Saturday.

The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued a rare severe geomagnetic storm warning when a solar outburst reached Earth on Friday afternoon, hours sooner than anticipated.

The stunning skies were visible across Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia, and thankfully, our SnapJAX Insiders did not hesitate to share their breathtaking pictures with us.
