JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The ninth arrest of a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office employee came after a now-former officer was accused of accessing the law enforcement agency’s database to run license plates at his ex-girlfriend’s apartment complex.
Allen LeSage, who worked for the agency since September 2017, was arrested on May 20, 2024, after an Internal Affairs audit revealed that he was allegedly using the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles database for “personal reasons outside of the scope of his police duties,” Sheriff T.K. Waters said.

JSO opened an investigation and discovered that on April 14, 2024, LeSage used the database to run 15 license tags for vehicles parked at an apartment complex where his ex-girlfriend lived.
“Accessing data [...] for personal reasons is strictly prohibited,” Waters said. “No one is above the law. When a member of this agency violates the law, we’re going to take action. We’re going to hold them accountable.”
LeSage is facing a third-degree felony charge of one count of offenses against computer users.
Records show that the Internal Affairs department wrote up LeSage four times during his nearly seven-year career with the agency. Three were for traffic crashes. He was given remedial training twice.
He also violated JSO’s bodycam policy and was given formal counseling, according to records.
LeSage resigned from his role and no longer works for the sheriff’s office.
He is the ninth JSO staffer arrested this year, and his arrest marks the sixth staffer arrest by JSO.
