The investigation prompted the park to close temporarily. However, Ginnie Springs posted on its website and social media accounts Monday that the park is back open for daily admissions, and normal operations will resume on Tuesday at 8 a.m.

Gilchrist County deputies and Florida Department of Law Enforcement officials are investigating both incidents.

No additional details were released “to maintain the integrity of the ongoing investigations,” deputies said.

“What is available for immediate release is that the men and women of GCSO and their neighboring law enforcement agencies have worked tirelessly, around the clock, for days on end to investigate these horrible crimes and to bring those responsible to justice,” the sheriff’s office wrote.

On Sunday, News4JAX called Ginnie Springs to ask about this incident, and they said they had no comment.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to Lt. Cumbie at 352-463-3410.
