JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It was a somber day at Jacksonville’s National Cemetery as hundreds of people laid wreaths and said prayers for the brave service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

It’s especially emotional for Michael Jardine who was there visiting his brother.
“Ronald is here...and he did his part,” Jardine said.
Jardine’s brother served in the Navy during the Vietnam Era. He is remembered as an American hero just like the other hundreds of servicemembers buried here.
“I’ve never served in the military. So, just coming out here to honor what they did to allow us the freedom to go about our business, and live free and be free. It’s an honor to do it,” Jardine said.
Michael Hoherchak did serve in the military and is the Jacksonville chapter leader of the Travis Manion Foundation.
“The reason why we’re out here is really to bring a community together,” Hoherchak said.
People brought together--to honor those who sacrificed everything.
