We want to know: What are your hopes for the World Golf Village property?

IMAX operations at the World Golf Village extended until 2024 (Carianne Luter, News4JAX)

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – The World Golf Village is changing.

St. Johns County Commissioners recently released the results of a community survey that will influence the next steps for the property’s redevelopment.

The county purchased 37 acres of the property for $5.5 million in April rather than selling it to a private company so that city leaders would have control over what happens to the site.

Over 60% of the 5,000 participants said they wanted the IMAX theater to remain open, while 73% said the World Golf Hall of Fame building should be converted for other purposes.

Another 59% said 21 World Golf Place (where the PGA Tour productions were housed) should be turned into a professional or corporate space.

We want to hear from you. What are your hopes for the property?
